Original Watercolor Painting "Intimacy"

"Intimacy" is 7” x 7" watercolor, on 140 lb. paper. This funny little guy showed his eyes first. It took weeks for me to understand who they belonged to. Eventually I felt the prickly spines and recognized the shape as porcupine. I loved the entire process for this painting but adding the final layer of quills which really created contrast with his eyes and lead you to come in closer and get to know him.
